DE-IONIZED WATER (DI)

Definition

Water from which ionic salts has been removed (demineralized) by ion-exchange. It is used for many purposes as an alternative to distilled water (oxford dictionary of chemistry)

Difference between de-ionized and distilled water

Basically there is no difference between these two types of water. The only difference is the processing method. De-ionized water is produced by ion exchange process while distilled water is produced by distillation process. Ideally conductivity should be “0” (zero) micro siemens per centimeter for both water

Why use de-ionized water?

It is cheap alternative to distilled water. Also the product is produced in our state-of-art de-ionized system, which ensures a high quality end product.

De-ionized (Dl) water has become an essential ingredient in hundreds of applications including: medical, laboratory, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, electronics manufacturing, food processing, plating, countless industrial processes, and even the final rinse at the local car wash.
